Physical space

We have been in our space at 208 Main Street in Schomberg since 2006. Before the coffee shop it has had a variety of purposes, most notably as the general store that served the area back in the 1950s when it survived Hurricane Hazel. We are carrying on the tradition of surviving adversity, being at the core of the village, and providing people what they need, and that includes good coffee. Want to come see us? Use the map.

Mental Space

The community has been incredibly supportive over the years and we do what we can to return that support. Being located in beautiful King Township and sharing our love of the outdoors with our animals drives our approach. Not liking being told what to do drives our attitude.

  • We offer a space for children’s art as well as a spot for local and little known artists to hang their art and take little to no commission

  • Our dairy uses reusable glass milk containers and are located in Creemore; they are re-used every week and processed using rebuilt equipment from the 1940s. They also make great ice cream, which we have.

  • We only use bio-degradable cups with recyclable lids and sleeves (if we will even give you a sleeve)

  • In fact all our take out containers are bio-degradable or recyclable

  • We only sell Fair Trade, Organic coffee beans and they are roasted in the GTA

  • All our suppliers are within a 50km radius of the store

  • All our suppliers are owner/operators; no chains are involved

  • All ingredients that can be locally sourced are, and we use seasonal available foods

  • All ingredients are organic and fair trade wherever possible

  • We provide space for free in the evenings for community groups to meet

  • We donate coffee for community events

  • We support local cycling groups, sports teams, and charities
